– 1 pound ground chicken– ½ teaspoon garlic powder– ½ teaspoon onion powder– 1 teaspoon salt– ½ teaspoon pepper – 2 large eggs – ¾ cup all-purpose– ½ cup cornstarch– 1 to 2 cups vegetable oil

Parchment a baking sheet. In a bowl, combine ground chicken, garlic and onion powders, ½ tsp salt, and pepper.

Put beaten eggs in a small basin. In another shallow basin, mix the flour, cornflour, and 1/2 tsp salt.

Take 1–2 tablespoons of chicken mixture and make a ball. Roll it in flour, beaten egg, and flour again.

I made even-sized nuggets with a little ice cream scoop. Flatten and mould the ball into nuggets.

Repeat with the remaining chicken mixture and place the nugget on the baking sheet. Bring oil to 375℉ in a heavy-bottomed pot over medium heat.

Cook the nuggets in batches for 4-5 minutes until golden brown. Probably 5 or 6 nuggets at once.

Use a slotted spoon to remove the nuggets and cool them on a rack or paper towel-lined dish. Pair with plum sauce or your favourite dipping sauce.
