This rustic dessert is wonderful and suitable for any occasion, with a mix of fresh, sweet, and savoury flavours in a crisp buttery crust!
– 1¾ cup all-purpose flour– ½ cup butter – cold water– 10 to 12 fresh fig– ½-1 cup pistachio– 1½ cups goat cheese– olive oil– 3 tablespoons honey
Ingredient
Process flour and chilled butter in a food processor. Pulse till cornmeal-like.
1
Add cold water slowly while pulsing to make a dough. Form the dough into a disc, wrap it in plastic, and refrigerate for an hour.
2
While the dough chills, prepare the oven to 350℉. Roll the dough into a 9-inch tart or pie pan-sized circle after chilling.
3
Carefully transfer dough to tart pan. Rolling your circle of dough onto your rolling pin and unrolling it over the pan is simplest.
4
Then gently press the dough against the pan bottom and sides to make the tart. To shape rolled-out dough, use parchment paper and baking weights or dried beans.
5
Return the crust to the oven for 10 minutes after removing the weights and parchment paper and trimming any extra dough.
6
Crumble goat cheese evenly on the tart bottom. Then add olive oil. Bake the tart for 30 minutes in the preheated oven.
7
The crust should cool for a few minutes in the pan on a wire rack after being removed from the oven.
8
Pour honey over everything to finish your tart. Remove it from the tart pan and serve warm!
