Post Threading Skin Care For All Skin Types

Popular hair removal method threading can hurt and sting the skin. Follow these six skincare suggestions for all skin types to keep your skin healthy and bright after threading:

Gentle Cleanse

Why: Eliminates skin hairs, product, and bacteria. How: Use a gentle, sulfate-free cleanser. Use lukewarm water.

Soothe with Toner

Why: Reduces inflammation and balances skin pH. How: Choose alcohol-free toners with rose water, chamomile, or witch hazel. Apply and pat skin with a cotton pad.

Hydrate and moisturise

Why: Hydrates skin, preventing dryness and irritation.  Use a non-comedogenic, lightweight moisturiser. Hydrating ingredients like hyaluronic acid, glycerin, and aloe vera don't clog pores.

Use Cooling Gel

Reason: Cools and reduces redness on sensitive skin.  How: Apply aloe vera, calendula, or cucumber gel straight to the skin. Refrigerate the gel for extra cooling.

Stay out of the sun

Why: Newly stitched skin is more UV-sensitive. How: Use an SPF 30 broad-spectrum sunscreen while going outside. Choose fragrance-free, sensitive-skin sunscreens.

Avoid Touching or Exfoliating

Why: Touching and exfoliating can irritate skin and introduce microorganisms.  After threading, avoid touching your face and forgo physical or chemical exfoliants for 24–48 hours.
