-1 cup blanco tequila -2/3 cup fresh lime juice -1/4 cup orange-flavored liqueur -1 tablespoon agave syrup -1 pound medium stem-on strawberries -2 tablespoons sugar -1 teaspoon kosher salt -1 teaspoon finely grated lime zest
For strawberries, mix tequila, lime juice, liqueur, and agave in a measuring cup. Make toothpick holes in strawberries. In a 9-by-5-inch loaf pan, place strawberries stem-side up.
Over the loaf pan berries, pour the tequila mixture. Refrigerate 6–12 hours covered.
Make salty lime sugar: Mix sugar, salt, and lime zest in a small bowl. Rub the zest into sugar and salt till pale green.
Drain the strawberries and filter the tequila mixture for drinking or usage. Serve strawberries on a dish with lime sugar for dipping.
