Instructions

  1. After deveining, washing, and pat drying the shrimp, leave the tails on.
  2. Combine the paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder in a small bowl.
  3. Pour one tablespoon of olive oil over the shrimp and toss them briefly.
  4. Season the shrimp with salt, freshly ground black pepper, and a mixture of seasonings.
  5. Toss the shrimps, making sure they are all thoroughly coated in the seasonings.
  6. Add the remaining 3 tablespoons of olive oil to a heated pan over medium-high heat. Once the oil is very hot, sear the seasoned shrimp in batches, being careful not to pack the skillet too full.
  7. Just 30 seconds are needed to sear each side of the shrimp. Once all of the shrimp are seared on both sides, remove them to a bowl and continue.
  8. Now reduce the heat to medium and add the butter to the same skillet. Continue taking the skillet off and back on the heat until the butter has melted in order to keep it from burning.
  9. Add the finely chopped garlic to the butter as soon as it melts, and sauté it until it flavors the butter.
  10. Now is the time to add the seared shrimp and squeeze in the lemon.
  11. To ensure that every shrimp has a good coating of butter, garlic, and lemon, give them a brief stir.
  12. Once a minute or so has passed, turn off the heat, add the finely chopped parsley, and give the shrimp one more stir.
