Celtics vs. Pacers final score, results: Boston survives thrilling OT clash after Jaylen Brown's clutch shot

The Pacers appeared ready to perform the unthinkable at TD Garden, defeating the Celtics in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals after repeated double-digit deficits.  

Jaylen Brown's corner 3-pointer knotted it at 117 in the last six seconds. The Eastern Conference Finals went to overtime after Tyrese Haliburton missed a winning shot.  

Boston took advantage of Pacers mistakes in overtime to win 133-128, a thrilling series opener.  

Indiana did almost everything it needed to lose. The Pacers were fouled often, and Boston led 30-10 in free throws. The ball was flipped 22 times.  

With 10 seconds left, Indiana led by three and could win. Take foul on Pacers possession by Celtics. Andrew Nembhard's pass deflected and ran out of bounds in Boston's zone, giving the Celtics a chance.  

Brown nailed the corner 3 before Pascal Siakam could foul him after Jrue Holiday passed.  

Boston took command after Haliburton's 3-pointer opened OT. Jayson Tatum's 3-pointer after a Haliburton mistake gave the Celtics 12 points.  

Still hot, the Pacers hit 53.5% of field shots and 37.1% of 3s. Three players scored 23+. The Celtics shot 47.5 percent from the field, 33.3 percent from 3, and 24 of 30 free throws while Tatum (36), Holiday (28), and Brown (26) scored at least 26 points.
