NBA playoffs: Timberwolves vs. Nuggets Game 7 update

Game 7 between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Denver Nuggets might be historic. It's the final game in a closely contested series between two excellent teams, and the storylines have made it even more intriguing.

Nuggets are machinery. They're the defending champs and have made the playoffs six years running. The combination of Jamal Murray and three-time MVP Nikola Jokić is nearly unbeatable.

The franchise is 4-3 in Game 7s, but this core group is 3-1. They're skilled and experienced. Don't look now—the Timberwolves are coming. They've made the playoffs three years running.

The vibes are perfect. Rudy Gobert is even likeable! For Game 7, the Timberwolves have history, which may help them beat the Nuggets.

Sunday marks the 20th anniversary of Minnesota's 83-80 Game 7 win over the Sacramento Kings in the second round, in which birthday boy Kevin Garnett scored 32 points, 21 rebounds, five blocks, and four steals.

Will a Timberwolves player perform like KG to beat the Nuggets? Will Minnesota's streak end due to Jokić and Co.'s experience? Stay updated on Game 7 below.
